Assessment of Participant Readiness for interRAI Fellowship
As part of the inSPIRe program, mentors play an important role in contributing to an informed view of each participant’s readiness to progress towards becoming an interRAI Fellow in the future. This assessment is formative and developmental and is intended to support both the participant and the interRAI network.
Primary Mentors, with input from Contributing Mentors, will be asked to reflect on each participant’s engagement and potential across several core domains. These reflections will inform internal discussions within the organising committee and may be used to guide future mentoring, fellowship pathways, and recommendations.
Mentors are not expected to make formal decisions about fellowship status during inSPIRe. Rather, they are asked to provide professional judgement on readiness and areas for further development.
Assessment Rubric
Mentors may use the following indicative rubric to guide their reflections. This does not require formal scoring and may be completed qualitatively. At the conclusion of the program, mentors will be asked to provide a single binary recommendation for each participant: Ready / Near-Ready or Not Ready for progression towards interRAI Fellowship consideration.
