Accommodations, Travel, and Funding
Attendees and their ‘supervisors’/supporters are responsible for planning and cost of their own flight and transportation to and from the inSPIRe location (University of Auckland, Auckland, New Zealand).
Requests to support travel costs can be considered by interRAI based on special needs.
Accommodations, food, ground transportation during program, social program, and any materials will be covered by inSPIRe. The program may run over a weekend, and attendees will be responsible for food costs during this time.
Visa, Travel Insurance and Biosecurity Reminder
It is the participants' responsibility to obtain their own visas and travel insurance for the duration of their stay in New Zealand.
All participants are strongly advised to ensure they have valid travel insurance that covers medical and health-related costs while in New Zealand. While New Zealand has a no-fault accident compensation scheme (ACC) that may cover some injury-related care, this does not cover illness and may not meet all medical or associated costs. The conference organisers are unable to accept responsibility for any medical expenses incurred.
Please also note that New Zealand has strict biosecurity and customs rules at the border. All food, plant, animal products, and outdoor equipment must be declared on arrival. Failure to declare items can result in significant fines. We recommend familiarising yourself with New Zealand’s biosecurity requirements before travelling.
